We want you to know God personally as each one of us has come to know Him and love Him. It was in December of 1970 while I was a senior at Smithville High School that I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ. I had been reading through the New Testament since September. As I made my way into the Gospel of John, I came to chapter 14 verse 6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” There in my living room, I bowed my head and prayed. I mean that I really prayed for the first time in my life. I asked God to forgive my sin and grant me eternal life which He promises to all who receive Jesus as their Savior.
God answered my prayer and delivered me from the penalty for sin - hell, and He is delivering me from the power of sin. He will do the same for you if you trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as your own personal Savior.
The Bible says,
“...if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved…”
